Awakening

This photo is very interesting. I love how you have captured such a unique looking flower. Usually photographers go for a beautiful bright color but you have decided to take a photo of something "out there." Now one element I dislike about this photo IS color. I am not a fan of deeper colors with white just because it sets an off mood for me. When i first looked at this photo, it surprised me yet didn't make me feel cheerful. Possibly lighten up the photo and it may look even more prettier. I think you could have also have chosen a different area of focus. The focus is a little off center but should maybe be on the other side of the center piece. Great photo though!
